Barge Host/Housekeeper

We are seeking a warm, professional, and service-driven Host/Housekeeper to join a luxury barge operating in the scenic waterways of Scotland. This is a seasonal role, ideal for someone who thrives in a hospitality environment and enjoys working as part of a small, dedicated team. Duties outlined not limited to:

  • Provide exceptional guest service to up to 12 guests on board
  • Carry out daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning of guest cabins and communal areas
  • Assist with meal service, drinks, and general hosting duties
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and discretion at all times
  • Support the team with turnarounds and changeovers
  • Ensure guests feel welcome, relaxed, and well looked after throughout their stay


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping, or private service preferred
  • Friendly, flexible, and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and guest-facing skills
  • Comfortable working on a moving vessel and living onboard
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Able to work effectively in a team and in a close-knit living environment

Live-in position – private accommodation provided onboard the barge

Location: Scotland (onboard accommodation provided)

Contract: Immediate start through to end of September / October (depending on availability)

Salary: £2,200 gross per month + share of generous gratuities

Schedule: 6 days per week
