We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to oversee the daily housekeeping operations of a luxurious seven-floor private residence in Mayfair.

This is a live-out role offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work within a prestigious, high-end environment. The position combines hands-on housekeeping with team leadership responsibilities, ensuring the property is maintained to the highest possible standard at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

• Supervise and manage a team of 2 housekeepers
• Ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness and organisation across the household
• Manage rotas and provide cover during staff holidays and time off
• Support and coordinate daily housekeeping operations effectively

Hands-on Housekeeping Duties

• Provide direct housekeeping support one day per week, including laundry and specialist garment care
• Assist with general housekeeping duties when required, particularly at weekends
• Maintain exceptionally high standards throughout all living and common areas

Property Maintenance

• Ensure the immaculate upkeep of a 7-floor residence, including:
• 4 bedrooms
• 3 bathrooms
• 3 common areas
• Master bedroom (in constant use)

Laundry & Garment Care

• Manage delicate fabrics, designer clothing, and specialist garment care
• Ensure all laundry is handled with precision and attention to detail

Service Excellence & House Standards

• Deliver a consistently high level of service tailored to the principal’s needs
• Maintain discretion, professionalism, and exceptional attention to detail at all times

Travel Support (Occasional)

• Accompany the principal on occasional travel
• Provide housekeeping support during trips as required

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper or in a similar senior housekeeping role within private households or luxury residences
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Expertise in laundry, fine fabric care, and specialist cleaning techniques
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
• High attention to detail with a proactive and reliable approach
• Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to household needs
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanour
• Discretion, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Additional Information

• This role is urgent, with an immediate start preferred
• The property spans seven floors and requires exceptional attention to detail and upkeep
• The role combines both managerial duties and hands-on housekeeping responsibilities

Location: Mayfair, London

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000+ per annum

Working Hours: 9 hours per day, 5 days per week (including weekends on a rota)

Days Off: 2 days per week
