We are seeking a warm, reliable live-in housekeeper to help keep a countryside home running smoothly. The property is set on a working farm near Winchcombe, just 10 minutes from Cheltenham. This is a long-term role for someone who takes pride in their work, has great attention to detail, and enjoys the rhythm of rural life.

The family currently lives in London and uses the house on weekends. Their mother lives at the property full-time, and other family members are nearby on the wider estate. There are four older children who visit during school holidays, so things tend to be a bit busier then. From September 2026, the family plans to move in full-time.

This is a relaxed and informal home, and would suit someone who’s used to working in the countryside and is comfortable managing things independently.

Duties outlined but not limited to:

• Keeping the main house and nearby stable house clean and tidy (usually only one person in residence during the week)
• Regular deep cleans on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule
• Simple, family-style cooking as needed
• Laundry and linen care – including making up beds
• Helping out with the family dog (occasional walks and general care)
• Running the odd errand or picking up essentials
• Keeping an eye on supplies and doing the household shopping

The Ideal Person:

• Has experience in a similar role, ideally in a country home
• Comfortable being around animals – the farm has cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, and of course, dogs
• Proactive and happy to manage your own time
• Ideally able to drive (a car can be provided)
• Friendly, flexible, and happy to muck in as needed

Accommodation:

You’ll have your own private space in the Stable House, separate from the main house.

Hours: 40 hours per week. Days off may need to change so ideally someone who is also flexible to work with the families schedule ( which is given in advance)

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 gross per annum
