A UHNW private residence in Burford is seeking a highly organised, hands-on, and discreet wardrobe and personal assistant to support both the principals and the wider household team. This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role offering variety across personal service, wardrobe management, travel prep, light housekeeping, and support with entertaining. This position would suit a candidate with prior private household experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to adapt between quieter and busier periods. You will be a vital part of a well-established and professional domestic team, ensuring the smooth operation of the household and exceptional support to the principals. Duties outlined but not limited to:


  • Manage full wardrobe care: organisation, seasonal rotation, inventory, and storage for both principals.
  • Packing/unpacking for trips (local and international), including logistics, preparation, and detailed packing lists.
  • Coordinate laundry, dry cleaning, hand washing, steaming, and ironing of clothing.
  • Oversee shoe and handbag care, including polishing and minor repairs.
  • Track and manage jewellery, including care, storage, and inventories.
  • Personal shopping and handling returns; restocking lifestyle products (e.g., Diptyque candles, toiletries, medications).
  • Running errands and fulfilling ad-hoc requests from the principals.
  • Assist with arranging beauty appointments, including hairdressers, facials, and spa treatments.
  • Provide breakfast service and support during formal dinners and family entertaining.
  • Occasionally step into housekeeping late shifts, including turndown service and house shutdown routines.
  • Work alongside the housekeeping team to ensure care of valuable surfaces (e.g., silks, crystal, fine china, artworks, marble, chandeliers).
  • Report defects via internal software (e.g., Limble) and help coordinate with contractors for maintenance.
  • Update guest room folders and maintain staff biographies.
  • Organise newspaper deliveries and ensure guest and principal areas are prepared in advance of arrivals.
  • Issue and track staff uniforms, and assist with training and rotas where necessary.
  • Provide occasional cover at the London residence when staff are unavailable.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience in a private UHNW household or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Strong wardrobe management and personal assistant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work discreetly in a confidential setting.
  • Highly proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented.
  • Eye for detail with pride in high standards.
  • Full UK driving licence required due to rural location.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Comfortable supporting in all areas of the home when needed.

Start Date: Flexible

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, flexibility required

Salary: £50,000
