A beautiful Georgian country inn nestled in the rural Shropshire Hills, close to the Welsh border, is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager and Head chef to take on full responsibility for running this historic village free house.

Steeped in character and serving as the heart of the local community, this idyllic inn requires a creative and passionate Head Chef, alongside a determined and capable General Manager, to drive the business forward with flair, dedication, and heart.

About the Role:

You’ll be at the core of daily operations, ensuring guests enjoy exceptional service and memorable experiences in a warm and welcoming setting.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Leading front-of-house and kitchen operations
• Delivering a high standard of seasonal, locally sourced food
• Managing daily service and ensuring smooth F&B operations
• Motivating and developing a small, dedicated team
• Overseeing guest satisfaction and accommodation standards
• Managing bookings and guest experience for the adjacent campsite
• Maintaining the inn’s strong reputation with locals and visitors alike

About You:

We’re looking for a hands-on couple with a genuine love for hospitality.

The ideal candidates will have:

• Proven experience in similar General Manager and Head Chef roles
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A focus on customer experience and community engagement
• A passion for fresh, seasonal cooking and creative menu development
• A full UK driving licence (at least one applicant)
• A desire to take ownership and grow within the business
