An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team at a Luxury hospitality venue in Cheltenham.

As Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for taking control and ownership of every aspect of the Housekeeping Operation. Everything from team member development through to stock purchasing and reporting.

We are looking for a confident communicator with a previous background in Luxury Hotel Housekeeping Management and a passion for customer service and exceeding guest expectation.

You will be responsible for overseeing the team who manage the distribution, organisation and monitoring of all linen requirements across the hotel. You will be a vital part of the Housekeeping Team, ensuring that the team are always fully stocked to ensure our guests receive a five-star service.



Duties outlined but not limited to :


  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel.
  • Manage and train housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting excellent hospitality.
  • Implement effective time management strategies to optimize workflow and maintain efficient service delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance guest satisfaction and uphold the hotel's reputation.


Qualifications

  • Proven hotel experience in a Head Housekeeping role
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lead and train housekeeping staff effectively
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and safety protocols

Please note – this is a full time, permanent position for 37.5 hours over 5 days per week. This would include a mixture of weekdays and weekends, making flexibility a key requirement. As this is a management role, flexibility is essential.


Salary : £35k starting salary moving up to £36k upon completion of successful probationary period. £4k bonus (based on GOP result and pro-rated in first year). Package also includes Service Charge. 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 day week.
