A warm, down-to-earth family of seven, are looking for a reliable and energetic Nanny/Family Assistant to join their household near Cheltenham. With five children aged 10–15 in a blended family (three girls and two boys) attending three different schools, we’re seeking someone who can become an extension of the family—proactive, efficient, and fun—with a calm and confident presence.

This is a varied and hands-on role that combines childcare support, home organisation, and logistical coordination. It would suit someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and loves making family life run smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist with the children’s daily and weekly schedules, including school runs, activities, and appointments
• Oversee general household organisation (groceries, laundry, liaising with the cleaner, errands)
• Plan and cook healthy, balanced family meals
• Manage the home in the parents’ absence when required (including occasional overnight stays)
• Provide basic pet care (including dog walking and feeding)
• Provide weekend support one weekend per month
• Flexibly cover up to two overnight stays per month (rare but possible)

The Ideal Candidate

• Fun, upbeat and proactive, with a 'muck-in' attitude
• Experienced in running a busy family household
• Confident, safe driver with a valid UK driver’s licence - car provided for work purposes
• Comfortable with animals and pet care
• Highly organised, dependable and able to take initiative
• Flexible with working hours, particularly during school terms
• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional
• Enhanced DBS check and references required

Ideally this will be a live-out position, however, accommodation can be provided for the right candidate (1 bedroom self contained accommodation which has been newly refurbished).

This is a full-time role with a flexible schedule that supports the family’s routine. Hours will vary slightly depending on school terms and family travel.

This role will suit someone who can adapt to the family’s rhythm and is happy to adjust hours when needed. Hours will vary but approximately 8 - 12 hours a day depending on their schedule and to be discussed with candidates.
