A fully staffed private household on a beautiful estate in Stratford-upon-Avon is seeking a professional and reliable Houseman. This is 5 days a week working at the weekend , with two days off during the week with occasional support in there family residence in Scotland . The successful candidate will be hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working as part of a wider team. A key part of the role will also involve helping to care for the family’s much-loved dogs – a Cockerpoo and a flat coat retriever puppy – especially when the family travels.

Duties outlined but not limited to:

• Assisting with the opening and closing of the property morning and evening
• Daily household checks to ensure smooth running of the house and wider Estate
• Laying fires and maintaining fireplaces
• General maintained
• Heavy duties cleaning - Floor polishing and machinery
• Assisting with service (training can be provided)
• General upkeep of household interiors and exteriors in support of the wider team
• Caring for and exercising the family’s dogs when required
• Supporting the family and other staff during weekends and when travelling
• Driving duties
• Maintaining cars and maintenance

• Dog-friendly and happy to help with pet care
• Flexibility to travel with the family when needed
• Weekend availability essential

Accommodation & Salary:

• Live-in accommodation provided: 2-bedroom flat on the estate (families and dogs welcome, no cats)
• Salary open to discussion: from £30, 000+ depending on experience
• Travel expenses covered when accompanying the family
• Accommodation is provided in a two-bedroom flat on the estate. Families and pets are welcome (except cats).

This role would suit either a junior Houseman starting their career in a private household, working within a small and supportive team, or a more experienced Houseman seeking their next step.
