Due to the rural location, a driving licence and own car are essential. The household is fully staffed, including a long-standing live-in Housekeeper and Gardeners, all of whom contribute to the smooth and supportive running of the home. The family have several dogs on the property, so a genuine affection for animals is essential. When the family are travelling, part of the role will include helping with dog care .
This is a busy, welcoming household, with grown-up children and grandchildren visiting regularly. The family appreciates a professional who is intuitive, discreet, and able to flex between informal daily cooking and more formal entertaining. The candidate must be professional and discreet in their working practices, while also being positive, approachable, and someone who genuinely enjoys contributing to a happy and harmonious workplace.

Salary: Circa £45,000 DOE

This is a live-in role with accommodation provided in a charming two-bedroom stone cottage set in the idyllic countryside. Due to the rural location, a driving licence and car is essential. The household is fully staffed, including a live-in Housekeeper, residing on the estate, and Gardeners, all of whom are long-standing members of staff. They also have dogs on the premises so being a dog lover is essential as you may be asked to care for the dogs.
The family values a warm, family-oriented atmosphere. With grown-up children and grandchildren visiting regularly, it is a busy and vibrant household.
The ideal candidate will approach the role with professionalism, be able to read the room, exercise discretion when required, and accommodate the family’s informal and formal cooking requirements with ease.
