Family Description and Location
A British UHNW family are seeking a highly skilled and discreet Housekeeper to join their fully staffed private household in the Cotswolds. This is a long-term role supporting a couple and their teenage child. The property is a modern, minimalist residence spread across three levels, with spa facilities and extensive gardens. A new 4-bedroom country house is currently being built on the estate, and the family are temporarily residing in a smaller property nearby.
The household team includes a House Director, security personnel, gardeners, and additional domestic staff. The environment is informal but operates to a 6-star standard, and all staff wear uniform while on duty.
Job Description
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Performing daily cleaning duties across the residence and staff areas
- Ensuring all rooms are tidy, clean, and well presented
- High-standard laundry care, including washing, ironing, hand washing, and organising dry cleaning
- Discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Assisting with preparations for family events and guest arrivals
- Monitoring and managing household cleaning supplies
- Reporting any maintenance issues or missing items
- Pet care as needed (dogs)
- Supporting upkeep of outdoor areas immediately around the house
- Cleaning and disinfecting after meals and gatherings
- Maintaining household appliances and white goods
- Informing the House Director of any accidents or irregularities
- Collaborating with other departments or stepping in as needed
- Adhering to hygiene and household protocols
- Bi-weekly linen changes and consistent care for fine materials and furnishings
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role for a UHNW family or estate
- Excellent standards in presentation, cleaning, and laundry care
- Experience or training in silver service is advantageous
- Meticulous attention to detail and a sense of pride in your work
- Calm under pressure, able to multitask and remain professional
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Fluent in English with good communication skills
- Must be discreet, reliable, and comfortable signing a confidentiality agreement (NDA)
- DBS and reference checks required
Days of Work, Salary and Benefits

Schedule: 5-day week, with one or at most two weekends per month included within the 48-hour working week

Hours: 48 hours per week with a 1-hour lunch break each day

Salary: £55,000 gross per annum
