Live out Housekeeper/Cook

Our client is looking for a skilled Housekeeper/Cook to take responsibility for the housekeeping and culinary needs of their private residence in the Cotswolds.


The property is a five-bedroom farmhouse set on five acres, primarily occupied by one or two adults, with additional family members visiting frequently on weekends.


Duties outlined but not limited to:


  • Housekeeping
  • Daily cleaning and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the property
  • Laundry and wardrobe management, including ironing and care for delicate fabrics
  • Creating fresh flower arrangements to enhance the home environment
  • Cooking & Meal Preparation
  • Preparing three meals per day for the principal and guests
  • Ability to cater to dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options
  • Always looking to improve culinary skills and adapt recipes as needed
  • Using fresh produce from the kitchen garden whenever possible
  • Household Management & Shopping
  • Organising the home to ensure it is always guest-ready
  • Shopping for fresh food and household supplies
  • Managing household accounts related to food and domestic purchases
  • Guest & Event Support
  • Preparing the house for guests and special events, including small gatherings and shooting parties
  • Informal butler-style assistance when hosting high-profile guests


The ideal candidate should:


  • Be experienced in high-end housekeeping with excellent attention to detail
  • Skilled cook with a passion for fresh, seasonal, and dietary-conscious cuisine
  • Proactive and highly organised, able to manage tasks efficiently
  • Trustworthy, discreet, and adaptable to the needs of the principal and guests
  • Able to work independently and manage responsibilities when the principal is away


Accommodation: Separate studio ensuite with a lounge and wood burner.


Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 experience dependent.
